Defining the Value of Home Health Webinar on April 10

The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) is pleased to present an important new webinar that will assist home health agencies in making the case for including home health in the patient care continuum.

Defining the Value of Home Health” will air live on April 10, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM EDT and be moderated by two legends of the industry – Walt Borginis and Donna DeBlois. Mr. Borginis CPA, CGMA, MBA, FCPP is the former President and CEO Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Philadelphia and Ms. DeBlois RN, BSW, MSB, MBA, AHCA is President and CEO of MaineHealth Care at Home.

This webinar will help you:

  • Identify areas where home health services can improve patient care in a unique way;
  • Gather information about your agency that will help create the case for these third parties on why your services are necessary and create patient improvements that only home health can achieve; and
  • Identify components of a comprehensive return on investment presentation and compile the information necessary for a successful justification of your services.

The healthcare environment is very dynamic and home health agencies are facing a number of strategic challenges that must be addressed. With the emergence of Medicare Advantage and managed Medicaid insurance plans, the creation of Accountable Care Organizations with gain shares based on costs avoided and the creation of population health programs by many health systems, home health agencies are frequently asked to explain what they do for patients and to justify why payments made for home health services generate an adequate return on investment. This session, based upon a newly issued Home Health Financial Managers Association White Paper, will help agencies identify ways to create the rationale for continued use of home health services in the patient care continuum.
