The Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 hospice final rule (update link) was released on July 30, 2024. The rule contains proposals for:

• Annual Payment Update of 2.9%
• Implementation of the HOPE (Hospice Outcomes & Patient Evaluation) Tool
• Revised CAHPS Hospice Survey
• Information on the Two Requests for Information (RFI) that were part of the proposed rule:
  • Payment Mechanism for High-Intensity Palliative Care Services
  • Future Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Items
