March On Washington | NAHC Advocacy Day
March 27, 2023 - March 29, 2023March On Washington | NAHC Advocacy Day
March 27-28, 2023 | Washington, D.C.
Home health providers are facing devastating payment cuts. The hospice community is rallying behind targeted efforts to address fraud, waste and abuse in the program . Medicaid HCBS rates continue to be woefully inadequate. Despite unprecedented demand for our services, care-in-the-home providers need more robust policy supports to address these and other pressing challenges facing our community.
This year’s March on Washington is the perfect opportunity to share real-world stories of how home care and hospice have benefited your community. We hope you join in on our efforts this year and become the industry champion to lawmakers. You can also attend virtually!
SCHEDULE:
- March 27th (4:00-7:00 PM) – Briefing on logistics and issues with staff and Soapbox Consulting to prep you for the day.
- March 28th (Scheduled Appointments) – Head to Capitol Hill to meet with your members of Congress and urge them to help with these vital issues.
LOCATION FOR BRIEFING:
Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health
700 2nd Street NE
Washington, DC 20002
NAHC will coordinate scheduling meetings with your Senators and representatives. If, for some reason you prefer to schedule your meetings yourself, please let us know by reaching out to Calvin (cmcdaniel@nahc.org) or Davis (dbaird@nahc.org) on NAHC staff.
Registration is required. Please register as soon as possible to optimize the meeting scheduling process. March is a very busy time for advocacy days on the Hill, so delaying registration will limit congressional offices’ ability to meet you. NAHC recommends you also book your travel and accommodations as soon as possible (note – there is not a designated hotel for those attending this event).
