NAHC Advocacy Day

April 16, 2024 - April 17, 2024

Home health providers are facing devastating payment cuts. The Medicare hospice benefit is receiving more attention from lawmakers than ever in the past. Medicaid HCBS rates continue to be woefully inadequate while CMS proposes new unworkable compensation requirements. Despite unprecedented demand for our services, care-in-the-home providers need more robust policy support to address these and other pressing issues facing our community.

Join us in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, for a day of advocacy on Capitol Hill to meet with your members of Congress and urge them to help with these vital issues.

Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health
700 2nd Street NE
Washington, DC 20002

Before you meet with lawmakers, we’ll host a reception followed by a panel discussion/briefing the evening of Tuesday, April 16, 2024, to give a lay of the land in DC and a full rundown of the top home care and hospice issues pending before Congress.

NAHC and our meeting partner Soapbox Consulting will schedule your meetings based on the information you provide at registration. (If, for some reason, you prefer to schedule your meetings yourself, please let us know by reaching out to Calvin McDaniel, Director of Government Affairs (cmcdaniel@nahc.org) or Davis Baird, Director of Government Affairs, Hospice (dbaird@nahc.org).

Congressman Earl Blumenauer (D-OR 3rd District)

Registration is required. Please register as soon as possible to optimize the meeting scheduling process. Delaying registration will limit congressional offices’ ability to meet you. NAHC also recommends you book your travel and accommodations as soon as possible (note – there is no designated hotel for those attending this event).
