Program Integrity Provisions Listening Session
June 24, 2024On June 13, 2024, Representative Earl Blumenauer of Oregon released a discussion draft of legislation that would make major changes to the Medicare Hospice Benefit. The Congressman’s office is seeking feedback from stakeholders by July 3, 2024.
The draft contains primarily a mix of program integrity and payment model changes, with a few other provisions related to medical review contractors, nurse practitioners’ role in hospice, telehealth, hospital discharge planning, and hospice ownership transparency.
NAHC & NHPCO are jointly holding two listening session webinars for our members to gather feedback on the draft.
Please come to these sessions having reviewed the relevant summary documents (linked below), and prepared to discuss your feedback on the specific proposed changes and how they might impact your organization.
