UPDATE: Hospice Regulatory Provisions

With the posting of the CY2024 Home Health final rule and the CY2024 Physician Fee Schedule final rule, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized changes that will have a significant impact on hospices. These include:

1. Special Focus Program (SFP),
2. Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR) process,
3. 36-month rule related to changes in ownership,
4. Change in categorical screening
5. Addition of Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) and Mental Health Counselor (MHC) to the interdisciplinary group
6. Other provider enrolment changes

The effective date for these changes is January 1, 2024. Join NAHC as we detail these changes.
