Fight for Home Care and Hospice as an Online Advocate on Tuesday, April 2!
Washington, D.C. — Home care and hospice leaders from across the United States are in Washington, DC right now to speak up about the key issues affecting our patients and providers. Although you’re not able to make it this year, you can still do your part to ensure lawmakers know where you stand.
We invite you to visit our Virtual Lobby Day Toolkit today to access the tools you need to make sure your voice is heard. We’re asking you to take just five minutes to call, email, or post an update on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn. You can also visit the NAHC Legislative Action Center to instantly send a message.
Why Is This So Important?
When congressional offices hear from their constituents, they record the contact. If they receive numerous contacts on the same issue (i.e. Home Health Payment Innovation Act, Home Health Rural Add-on, Hospice MA Carve-in), they know the matter is of importance. This allows the member of Congress to be better informed of the interests of their constituents and more likely to make a decision on the matter.
Visit the online toolkit today to familiarize yourself with the issues that can or will have an impact on your agency, now and in the future.
Thank you in advance for doing your part to show your support for NAHC and the home care and hospice community.
Step 1:
Visit the NAHC Legislative Advocacy Center to instantly send a message to your official. The message is pre-written all you have to do is enter a few details and click send. It’s really that simple. Visit today!

- Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act (S. 296)– Legislation to allow non-physician practitioners to certify home health under Medicare;
- Home Health Rural Add-on – Legislation would provide a three percent extension for three years, with a study to review its ongoing application;
- Hospice MA Carve-in – Education regarding a proposal coming from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) that would test the inclusion of hospice in Medicare Advantage.
