Statement from NAHC on Coronavirus & 2020 Meetings

The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) is closely monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) in the United States. On Tuesday, March 3, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that for the most of the American public, who are unlikely to be exposed to this virus at this time, the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low.

At this time, we do not anticipate changes to any of our meetings, including the March on Washington on March 23-24 in Washington, D.C., the PDGM 2020 National Summits around the country from late March to mid-April, the Financial Management Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 26-28, and the Home Care and Hospice Conference and Expo on October 18-20 in Tampa, Florida.

The health and safety of the people who attend our meetings is NAHC’s foremost concern. We are in frequent contact with all our host venues to ensure our meetings will be safe for everyone who attends. We will also stay in contact with you to keep you informed of any developments with our meetings via email, social media, the NAHC website, and our daily newsletter NAHC Report. We will alert you immediately if the status of any of our meetings changes.

In the meantime, we encourage you to stay informed about important news developments related to COVID-19, especially how they relate to home care and hospice. NAHC has created a Coronavirus Resources for Home Health & Hospice page, which will be updated daily with important guidance, news, and resources to help you manage this important public health situation.

The NAHC staff is ready to address any questions or concerns you may have, so please contact us if you need more information.
